Awesome Paper Sketching App For The iPad (video)

Design and development company FiftyThree has this week launched a fantastic new iPadapplication called Paper. That has been designed to provide you with five essential tools for sketching out ideas on your iPad.

Unlike other applications Paper doesn’t provide you with lots of settings to customise each of your tools, but keeps it clean and simple. Providing tools to Sketch, Write, Draw, Outline and Colour. Watch the video after the jump to see the Paper app in action.

Paper is free to download but to get the most from it you need to purchase the other 4 tools which are price at $2 each. The app allows you to create multiple notebooks which you can then customise the covers of to make them personal or project specific.

Paper also has a great undo and redo feature which allows you to rotate two fingers on the screen in either and anti-clockwise motion to remove marks or clockwise motion to place them back.

Paper is definitely worth the $8 price if you enjoy creating and sketching on your iPad, and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store now.


Google To Launch Tablet Store To Sell Android Tablets?

We have been hearing rumors that Google is working on their own Android tablet, which is rumored to feature the Nexus branding and is expected to launch some time later this year.

Now according to a recent report by the WSJ, Google is apparently looking to open an online tablet store to sell a range of Android tablets, in an attempt to make the devices more popular.

Windows Metro Style Android User Interface (video)

Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Asus Transformer owners who would like to bring a little more of a Windows feel to their Android tablet-top. Might be interested in this new user interface that has been created for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus Transformer tablets.

The Metro Android theme brings the look and feel of Microsoft’s Metro user interface theme tothe tablet. The new Metro Android theme has been created by XDA Developers user BroBot175 and can be viewed in action after the jump.

The Metro Android theme is currently in its beta release version and supports Android tablets running Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.

Box OneCloud Brings Cloud Storage To The iPad

Box has today announced new features for its OneCloud app which has now be integrated with iPad applications to enable users to be able to store import files within the cloud.

The Box OneCloud app, will showcase over 30 applications designed to work with the Box service, and Box will be rolling out integration with four “premier” apps including Quickoffice, Adobe Echosign, Nuance PaperPort Notes, and PDF Expert.

Hasbro Denied Injunction Against Asus Transformer Prime Tablet

Hasbro launched a lawsuit against Asus last year, claiming that Asus’s Transformer Prime tablet was confusing to consumers at that the name of the device was infringing on Hasbro’s copyrights.

It looks like Hasbro has now lost the first part of its case against Asus, with the judge dealing with the case ruling that Hasbro had not managed to demonstrate that the Transformer Prime tablet would be confused with Hasbro’s Transformer toys.

Amazon Kindle Touch Lands In The UK Next Month

Amazon has announced that their new Kindle Touch will go on sale in the UK in April, the device will be available in the UK from the 27th of April and will come in two flavors, a WiFi only model and a WiFi and 3G model.

The WiFi Kindle Touch will retail for £109 and the WiFi and 3G Kindle Touch will retail for £169, and both devices are now available to pre-order from Amazon here in the UK.

Asus Transformer Prime To Get New Feature Update This Week

It looks like the Asus Transformer Prime will be getting a software update this week that will bring a range of new features to the popular Android tablet.

Asus has posted on their Italian Facebook page that the update will bring lock screen notification management, plus the ability to delete notifications and also the ability to go directly to that particular app.
